Military Weddings

As a former Marine, I can appreciate that
Military personnel make many of their decisions in life
Based on economic considerations.
There are times when needs are delayed or postponed
Due to the inability to bear the cost.

This shouldn't hold true for life's celebrations,
Those special occasions which bring us together to salute our traditions.
These are the times in all our lives where the moment calls
For flinging wide the gates & hanging out the flags,
As we gather to pay honor to our customs.

And what event could be more worthy of celebration than a Marriage?
What special moment calls more for rejoicing & reveling than a Wedding?     

The planning of such a time
Should be beyond the concern of whether one has the means.
For this reason, Military men, women & their fiancées
Are offered a concession on the customary Wedding fee.
